Food Justice Project: Through community education, political action, anti-oppressive organizing and community-building, the Food Justice Project seeks to challenge and transform the globalized, industrial, corporate-driven food system and promote existing alternatives. Meetings are 3rd Tuesday of the month, 6:30 – 8:30pm at the CAGJ office. Contact fjp@seattleglobaljustice.org for more info.

AGRA Watch: AGRA Watch is challenging the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s questionable agricultural programs in Africa. The Gates Foundation claim to be “pro-poor” and “pro-environment,” but they take advantage of food and global climate crises to generate profits for corporations while degrading the environment and dis-empowering farmers.  Meeting times vary. Contact agrawatch@seattleglobaljustice.org to find out more.

Trade Justice: CAGJ works for Trade Justice by organizing to reform the current US trade model that prioritizes profits over people and the environment, while offering viable alternatives through democratic engagement. Meeting times vary.  Please contact us at tradejustice@seattleglobaljustice.org for more info and to find out how to get involved!
